Dragons Den!

22nd Apr 2024

Pupils are participating in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. The programme begun with pupils brainstorming business ideas and pitching them to local dragons. The dragons were Danielle Cadden - CADCO, Fiacre O'Donnell - ENCIRC, Dara O'Reilly - MANNOK and Mark McCaffrey - Crust and Crumb. Pupils business ideas were, a comic book (BEAN INK), a podcast (DERRYLIN DIARIES), a Tumbling Paddies mug (CEOL AGUS ÓL) and car stickers (FLAT TO THE MAT). The dragons asked questions on their business plans and highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of their companies. Dragons voted for the business idea they felt would be most suitable for the pupils to deliver going forward. Pupils begun their market research for the company CEOL AGUS ÓL, visited local businesses to learn more about the sub teams within a company and is beginning to produce their product. They split up into 4 teams, the design team, the marketing team, the sales teams and the finance team. After all this, they will start to sell! They will go into the local community to sell their products, set up their own website and start up a stall in the middle of the Enniskillen diamond.
